Privacy Policy

This privacy policy describes how your personal information is collected, used and shared when you visit or make a purchase on the Meraki by Pigment Design Inc. website (hereinafter referred to as the “Site”).

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, your IP address, your time zone and some of the cookies installed on your device. In addition, as you browse the site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products you visit, the websites or search terms that referred you to the site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We call this automatically-collected information “device information”.

We collect device information using the following technologies:

- “Cookies” are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous, unique identifier. For more information about cookies and how to disable them, visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org.

- “Log files” track actions that occur on the site and collect data including your IP address, browser type, internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and time stamps.

- "Web beacons", "beacons" and "pixels" are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the site.

As mentioned previously, we use cookies to obtain certain information from your computer. These small "text" files are temporarily placed on your computer when you are on certain web pages. They are secure and non-intrusive and cannot extract information from your computer other than what is necessary or useful to assess the volume and traffic on our Site and to improve our service. They are very useful, for example, to recognize you when you make return visits to our Site.

The "Help" section in most browsers tells you how to prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, how to be notified of a new cookie or how to block all cookies. You can also find instructions, tutorials, or guides on the internet. Likewise, you can turn them off or clear them by changing the settings for additional software or by going to the website of your browser manufacturer or software developer. However, since cookies allow you to take full advantage of some of the Site's essential features, we recommend that you leave them enabled. For example, if you block or delete our cookies, you will not be able to add items to your cart, place an order or use the Site’s services.

The information provided or obtained with cookies enables us to open an account in your name, to process your order, to communicate with you, to personalize our relations with you and, if you authorize us, to send you information about our Site and our products from time to time, in a personalized way.

Meraki takes all appropriate security measures to ensure the protection of the personal information collected, used and stored. Meraki undertakes to maintain the confidentiality of your personal information as it passes through the internet to our Site, by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), which encrypts the information you enter. For example, Meraki may only use the last 4 digits of your credit card number when confirming the order, but will obviously pass the full number to your credit card company when processing payment. You must protect your password and not disclose it to anyone. You must protect your computer or smartphone against unauthorized access. You can also opt out of Google Analytics here: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

As mentioned above, we have entrusted part of the transactional site to Shopify, which in turn does business with third parties, including for the purposes of payment, shipping, order processing, performance analysis, accounting, marketing and web placement management. These include, for example, banking institutions that issue credit cards, online payment service providers or shipping providers, such as Purolator. For this, these companies will have access to your personal information. To continue a transaction with us, you will be directed to the sites of those third parties that have their own policies or are subject to different conditions and laws depending on the jurisdiction or country in which they primarily operate. Take time to read them.

Lastly, we may also share your personal information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other legal request for information that we receive, or to protect our rights.
